The flight school at Utah Valley University is located between the beautiful Rocky Mountains and Utah Lake. The pilot training program has an excellent safety record and is an ideal location for students interested in learning how to fly and obtaining their pilot license.
The University enrolls over 30,000 students and traces its origin to 1941 when Central Utah Vocational School was established as part of the Provo school district and was charged with providing vocational education for the region. It became a state institution in 1945, and in 1953 the name was changed to the Utah Trade and Technical Institute. In 2008, Utah Valley State College became Utah Valley University.
